I decided the location of my design is to be off the HMAS Watson in Sydney Harbour.
I chose this location as it had the rocks for the buidling to sit on and the ocean for it to look out to. I also like how it looks back into the harbour and to the city. It also means that the sunrise will effect the glass balcony the most and the sun rise will create orange light patterns in the upper space. Being the lower hemisphere it is also less polluted and allows for better star gazing then the upper atmosphere.
